Orchid Lake View Homestay - Alappuzha

The view of the lake covered in water lilies was mesmerizing. We were able to witness the popular boat race, which was the highlight of our trip to Alleppey. The homestay is conveniently located near Chunden Vallem, where the 130 feet long snake boats race with over 100 rowers, 4 helmsmen, and 25 cheerleaders adorned with colorful silk umbrellas. , we enjoyed exploring the local fishing village, Mararikulum, which is situated on the picturesque Arabian Sea coast.

For families with children, my kids wished there were more activities available at the homestay to keep them entertained.

we chose this place for marvellous location so close to the lake and marri beach, and fair prices. had everything we needed, comfy room with a balcony.

The setting was a bit far from everything, it was a pity.

During my stay at Orchid Lake View Homestay in Alappuzha, I found two standout features from the provided database. the room was kept clean and well-maintained throughout my visit. The housekeeping staff did a commendable job of ensuring a tidy environment, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. I was delighted to find a balcony attached to my room, offering a serene space to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake.

While there were few notable shortcomings, one minor issue I encountered was the firmness of the beds. They were unusually hard, which affected my sleep quality and comfort.

our recent stay in alappuzha was wonderful, but our stay at this homestay surpassed all expectations. the clean and comfortable rooms with breathtaking lake views were a highlight. the friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home. the home-cooked food was exceptional, and we ended up enjoying most of our meals there.

You can relax in the beautiful garden, complete with hammocks and benches, perfect for enjoying breakfast or watching the sunrise. the rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned, with neat and clean bathrooms. the staff provides exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. the food served is delicious and varied, offering a taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

The ledge leading to the upper rooms may pose a danger for children and could benefit from being raised to prevent accidents.

The view is amazing, the place is extremely quiet, and there are reclining chairs and a hammock perfect for relaxation. the owner is very helpful and nice.
